Waiguru Constructs 11 Modern Social Halls Across Kirinyaga County.

Kirinyaga County Governor Anne Waiguru has overseen the construction of 11 modern social halls across the county, giving residents dignified venues for community gatherings, public forums and cultural events.

The halls form part of Waiguru’s broader development agenda, which has already delivered major upgrades in healthcare, housing, roads and local industry. Her administration recently broke ground on the county’s first Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) campus and signed agreements for affordable housing projects in Kerugoya, Kianyaga and Sagana, alongside initiatives like the Wezesha Kirinyaga economic empowerment program supporting poultry, dairy, avocado and tomato farmers.

Leaders and residents have repeatedly credited Waiguru’s leadership for transforming public infrastructure in the county. The new social halls are expected to serve as venues for chiefs’ meetings, community health forums, weddings, funerals and other cultural functions that previously lacked proper indoor facilities, sparing residents from holding such events outdoors or in inadequate spaces.
