Kirinyaga UDA Leaders Reaffirm Loyalty to Ruto Ahead of January 10 Grassroots Polls.

Kirinyaga leaders aligned with the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) have renewed their steadfast support for President William Ruto’s administration, vowing that the county will stay firmly in government as key development initiatives gain momentum across the region.

At a UDA grassroots mobilization event, county coordinator and Ndia MP Hon. George Kariuki emphasized that past developmental delays stemmed from leaders operating outside the ruling coalition, a misstep residents refuse to repeat. “We voted to be in government, not in opposition. Development can only come when you are working with the government of the day,” Kariuki declared.

He rejected pressures to ditch UDA, labeling proponents as shortsighted and lacking genuine concern for locals, while praising Ruto’s transformative vision. “Anyone with a vision and an agenda is welcome. President Ruto has shown goodwill for Kenyans, and Kirinyaga will stand with him,” he added.

Ndia MP Hon. Gichimu Githinji reinforced the stance, pointing to active constituency projects as reason enough to remain committed. “We have projects underway. We cannot exit government when our people are benefiting,” Gichimu stated, dismissing ‘Singapore dream’ detractors as devoid of foresight.

Mwea MP Hon. Mary Maingi vowed to shield residents from opposition enticements, keeping the county’s focus on progress. “We are working towards the Singapore dream, and we are determined to make President Ruto a second-term president,” she affirmed, rallying UDA members to mobilize strongly for grassroots polls on January 10.

Mp Mary further extended an invitation to the president not to leave Kirinyaga behind in the country’s development agendas. “We are inviting you to bring more development; I know you will give us Nyangati dam as promised,” she noted.

UDA leaders’ unwavering support for President Ruto signals a collective commitment to fostering development in Kirinyaga County. As they mobilize grassroots support, their resolve to enhance the welfare of residents remains paramount, steering the county toward a prosperous future.
