Six Iranians Charged in Sh8.2 Billion Meth Trafficking Case.

Six Iranian nationals were arraigned at Shanzu Law Courts in Mombasa for trafficking 1,036.044 kg of methamphetamine valued at approximately Sh8.2 billion.

The drugs were seized in October 2025 during a multi-agency maritime operation off the Kenyan coast, where security forces intercepted a stateless dhow.

The accused, Nia Jasem Darzadeh, Jadgal Nadeem Abdulgani, Baloch Hassan, Baloch Imran Mustafa, Baksh Rahim Goharam, and Daryayi Imtiyaz (aka Pamin), pleaded guilty after charges were read post-custodial hearing.

They have been remanded at Shimo La Tewa GK Prison until the facts are read on January 30, 2026.
